    What Does it Taste Like?

This creamy, rich creamer tastes like what would happen if your mom’s apple pie and your favorite coffee creamer had a baby! Indulgent heavy cream and half-and-half blend with molasses, cinnamon, and nutmeg–essenced apple brown sugar syrup and caramel sauce for a warm, cozy-spiced, apple-infused coffee addition that ushers in fall with every sip.

Why You Will Love This Caramel Apple Coffee Creamer

    • Downright Delicious: If apple crisp or pie in coffee form is your idea of a good time (as it very well should be!), this creamer will be your new BFF.
    • Natural Wonder: Unlike premade creamers with ingredient lists that read like a college chemistry class, this recipe is made with 100% whole foods—no advanced science degree required!
    • Ultra-Easy Prep: Just measure, stir, and drink. It’s really that easy.
    • Fall Fantastic: Whether brewing a mug before heading to the pumpkin patch or sipping it in your cold brew while leaf peeping, there’s no better way to welcome the best season.

    Ingredients

    • Half-and-Half: Creates the rich, creamy base for the apple creamer.
    • Apple Brown Sugar Syrup: The headliner ingredient—adds juicy fruitiness and warm, spiced molasses flavor. It’s easy to make in a few simple steps with natural ingredients, but you can swap in store-bought apple cinnamon syrup if needed.
    • Caramel Sauce: For buttery, caramel sweetness. For convenience, I often use premade, though homemade works beautifully too.
    • Heavy Cream: Adding ½ cup of heavy cream keeps the syrup from diluting the creamer.
All the ingredients needed to make caramel apple creamer.

    Substitutions

    • Milk and Cream: Don’t have half-and-half or prefer not to buy it? Substitute additional heavy cream and whole milk—you’ll need 1¼ cups heavy cream and ¾ cup whole milk. For a dairy-free half-and-half alternative, use coconut milk or plant-based half-and-half.
    • Syrup: Make this creamer your own by stirring in 1 cup of your favorite syrup, such as carrot cake, horchata, or toffee nut syrup.
    • Heavy Cream: If your grocer carries light cream, you can use it for a lighter creamer. For a dairy-free replacement, coconut cream or plant-based heavy cream are both great picks.

How to Make Caramel Apple Creamer

In just two easy, anyone-can-do-it steps, this apple creamer will be all yours:

    • Step 1: Add all ingredients to a large Mason jar and stir until well combined.
    • Step 2: Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Easy peasy!

    Optional Variations and Dietary Adjustments

    • Extra Cozy and Spicy: The apple brown sugar syrup is already brimming with warm spices, but you can add extra zing with a pinch of ground ginger or a light floral note with a dash of cardamom.
    • Lactose-Free: Swap 2 cups of lactose-free half-and-half for the traditional version and heavy cream.
    • Dairy-Free: Use plant-based half-and-half and heavy cream, or coconut milk and coconut cream, for a completely dairy-free creamer.
    • Reduced-Sugar: While you can’t make this apple coffee creamer entirely sugar-free, you can cut it down by making the apple brown sugar syrup with a monk fruit or stevia sugar replacement.
    • Very Vanilla: Stir in up to 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract with the other ingredients for a warm, nutty note, or simmer it with the apple syrup for softer, more mellow undertones.

    Serving Suggestions

Add a warm and winsome fall touch to all your drinks (caffeinated or not) with a splash of this caramel apple coffee creamer:

    • Hot Coffee: Stir creamer into French press or dip coffee as you would half-and-half for a warm, cozy start to the day.
    • Cold Brew Comfort: If cold brew is more your thing, take it to new heights with a splash or two of apple crisp creamer—an extra buzzy (and delicious!) motivation to get out of bed in the morning.
    • Creamy Chai Tea: Cinnamon apples + chai = match made in heaven! Mix chai concentrate with a few tablespoons of creamer and hot water for the ultimate cozy treat.
    • Cold Foam: Thanks to the heavy cream in this recipe, the creamer froths beautifully—just like cold foam! Whip with a coffee frother until light and fluffy, then spoon over all your favorite iced coffee drinks.
    • Caramel Apple Frappe: Treat yourself to an afternoon pick-me-up by blending ¼ cup creamer, 1–2 shots of espresso, a couple scoops of ice cream, a handful of ice, and just enough milk to get the blender moving.
    • Apple Pie Milkshake: Like a frappe, minus the espresso! Blend ½ cup creamer with 1 cup vanilla ice cream and a splash of whole milk until smooth and frosty. Add more creamer to taste, and top with freshly whipped cream.
    • Apple Pie Espresso Martini: Giv your favorite caffeinated high-ABV cocktail a seasonal twist by substituting a few tablespoons of apple pie creamer for the simple syrup.
    • Autumnal Iced Coffee: Add a seasonal spin on caramel iced coffee by using this apple creamer instead of caramel sauce.
    • Indulgent Overnight Oats: Make apple pie overnight oats, swapping up to ¼ cup of the milk with this apple caramel creamer for a rich, dessert-for-breakfast-like experience.

    Recipe Success Tips

    • Adjust the sweetness to taste: For a moderately sweet creamer, start with ⅔ cup syrup and stir in more as needed. For a deeper caramel flavor, add extra caramel sauce.
    • Frothing tips: If you plan to froth the caramel apple coffee creamer, avoid low-fat milk substitutes—heavy cream is essential for a light, airy whip! If going dairy-free, be sure to use barista-style coconut or oat milk.
    • Mind the storage: Store the creamer in a tall glass jar (such as a Mason jar) for the freshest flavor. For easy pouring, use a pour-friendly lid. Properly stored, the creamer will keep for up to 1 week in the refrigerator.
    • Avoid freezing: High-fat creamers can split upon thawing, creating an unpleasant, grainy texture. For best results, do not freeze. If you don’t expect to use all the creamer within a week, make a half batch.

    FAQs

Do apples go well with coffee?

Whereas I wouldn’t add fresh or chopped apples directly to coffee, apple coffee creamer is delightful in it! The creamy, sweet, and spicy profile balances bold, buzzy coffee like a dream.

    Can I freeze coffee creamer?

I don’t recommend it. The heavy cream can break down upon thawing, causing the creamer to split and ruin its texture—not ideal for your morning coffee!

Can you add coffee creamer to tea?

Absolutely! I add it all the time.

    Nutritional Info

One quarter–cup serving of this apple crisp coffee creamer delivers 134 calories—about half from carbohydrates (18 grams) and the rest from fat (7 grams)—making it a moderately indulgent addition to your favorite autumnal drinks.

The carbohydrates come mainly from the caramel sauce and apple brown sugar syrup. Carbs are a great source of energy, making this creamer a good option to add to your pre-workout coffee. To reduce the sugar content, make the brown sugar syrup with a monk fruit or stevia sugar replacement.

At 7 grams of fat per serving, the creamer is rich and creamy—thanks to the heavy cream and half-and-half—so it can add up if consumed regularly or multiple times a day. The fat is essential for its silky mouthfeel and indulgent flavor, though for a healthier fat profile, you can substitute coconut milk, coconut cream, or plant-based half-and-half and cream.

    Equipment

    • 1 mason jar

    Ingredients

    • 1 ½ cups half & half
    • 1 cup apple brown sugar syrup
    • ½ cup heavy cream
    • 3 tablespoon caramel sauce

    Instructions

    • Add all ingredients to a large mason jar and stir until well combined.
    • Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks!

Dairy-Free: Substitute 1.5 cups full-fat coconut milk and ½ cup oat milk and eliminate the half-and-half and heavy cream.
    Storage Directions

I would add more heavy cream to help it whip up.
