What does the cinnamon caramel cold brew taste like?
Starbucks' cinnamon caramel cold brew tastes like a creamy and nutty cinnamon-induced heaven! With a rich cold brew base that is sweetened with the perfect blend of homemade caramel and cinnamon syrups before being served on ice and topped with a frothy and rich caramel-spiced cold foam, this drink is comforting, warmly spiced, refreshing, and invigorating. I'm pretty sure Starbucks beverage developer had gooey sticky buns in mind when they created this new spring drink. It has plenty of cinnamon flavor and is a fresh take on their cold brew drink selection.
The cold brew base brings bold and rich coffee flavors, but the light and creamy cold brew cuts the richness, making this drink one you can keep on sipping all morning long. This drink is as perfect for your daily coffee as it is for afternoon coffee breaks, escaping into your favorite book, or enjoying with a friend.

Why You'll Love this CInnamon Caramel Cold Brew
- Sweet and Spicy: Perfectly balanced with the nutty and sweet notes of caramel and the warm kick of cinnamon stick, this drink provides one-of-a-kind comfort. This is a great new beverage I wish they had all year round!
- Budget-Friendly: Say "goodbye" to spending up to $8 on your favorite coffees. This homemade version, especially if made with my homemade syrups, rings up at a fraction of the price!
- Convenient: Though your local Starbucks is on many a street corner, elevate that coffee convenience to new heights by making their drinks in the comfort of your home. PJ's encouraged!
- Zippy: You'll never hear me saying "no" to the extra cold brew kick! This cinnamon caramel cream cold brew recipe is perfect for when you need a little extra pick-me-up, no extra shot of espresso required!
- Quick and Easy: With just 5 ingredients and 3 simple steps, you'll be sipping your next favorite beverage in no time!
Ingredients
Don't let the idea of making a cold foam coffee at home intimidate you. All you need are just 5 easy-to-find ingredients!

- Heavy Cream: Also known as heavy whipping cream, this ingredient whips up nice and light, creating the perfect cool and creamy cold foam topping.
- Whole Milk: Just a tablespoon of milk cuts the heaviness of the cream a touch while still allowing the cream to whip up to a heavenly emulsion.
- Caramel Syrup: Add nutty and sweet caramel flavor to your cold brew creation with a surprisingly easy-to-make homemade syrup, or go for your favorite store-bought variety instead. It's that fan-favorite caramel flavor that makes this drink so delicious!
- Cinnamon Syrup: Homemade cinnamon syrup adds exceptional warm and spicy notes to this drink, but you can also use this great bottled brand!
- Cold Brew Coffee: Adds extra richness (and caffeine!) to this refreshing drink, thanks to the higher brewing ratio of coffee to water. Make your cold brew with one of four easy methods or simply grab your favorite bottle of premade cold brew.
Substitutions
- Cream: Lactose-free heavy cream or dairy-free whipping cream can work in place of dairy cream, keeping the drink cool and frothy but eliminating any chances of tummy troubles.
- Iced Coffee: Though cold brew brings its signature bold flavor to this drink, you can easily substitute it with a strongly brewed cooled coffee, such as a dark roast. For an extra caffeine kick to rival that of cold brew, pour in a shot of espresso.
- Syrups: Starbucks uses a new cinnamon caramel syrup, which I've never thought necessary to add the flavors of cinnamon caramel. If you have caramel and cinnamon syrups, you can make this sweet drink no problem. You can also use a brown sugar cinnamon syrup, or a cinnamon dolce syrup as well.
- Toppings: I've never been able to find the dolce topping (cinnamon dolce sprinkles) anywhere, so I really think the best substitute is cinnamon sugar or a dusting of cinnamon on of this iced coffee drink.

Instructions
Starbuck's Cinnamon caramel cold brew is seriously simple to make at home! Here's how you do it:
Step 1: Make the caramel cinnamon cold foam. Add the heavy cream, whole milk, 1 tablespoon of caramel syrup, and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon syrup to a small container or cup.
Step 2: Froth. Using a frother, froth the heavy cream and milk mixture for 15-30 seconds, or until light and airy.
Step 3: Pour in cold brew. Pour the cold brew coffee into a tall glass. Stir in 1 more tablespoon of caramel syrup and 1 teaspoon cinnamon syrup into the coffee. Top with your desired amount of ice.
Step 4: Add cold foam. Pour the freshly frothed cold foam over the sweetened coffee. If desired, dust with cinnamon sugar and enjoy!

Optional Variations & Dietary Adjustments
- Double Cold Foam Delight: Can't get enough of that cold foam? Just double up the cold foam ingredients, froth up, and top your coffee in an extra large cup for an extra kick of cold foam!
- Skip the Cinnamon: Not a fan of cinnamon? Use vanilla syrup instead for a caramel cream cold brew with tons of caramel flavors!
- Crazy for Caffeine: Amp up the caffeine in this Starbucks cinnamon caramel drink even more by stirring a shot of espresso in with the cold brew before topping it with ice.
- Sugar-Free Syrup Substituting: No sugar? No issue! Make the syrups with erythritol or stevia instead of sugar for sans-sugar sipping!
- Pumpkin Spice Perfection: Add some fall flair to this favorite with pumpkin spice! Mix Β½ teaspoon of your favorite pumpkin spice blend with ΒΌ cup granulated sugar and sprinkle over the cold foam before serving.
- Coconut Concoction: Add extra creamy and nutty elements by using coconut whipping cream and coconut milk instead of their dairy alternatives.
Serving Suggestions
- Disney Daydreaming: Transport yourself to Disneyland's California Adventure by creating your own Cold Brew Infusion, which is a favorite at Pym's Test Kitchen. For a fresh new take on this recipe, follow the recipe directions as listed and top with cinnamon toast crunch and caramel sauce drizzle. More cinnamon flavor, more flavors of caramel! Chef's kiss!
- A.M. Anticipation: Add an extra pep to your morning step by sipping a glass of cinnamon-infused cold brew. A guaranteed great way to kick off the day!
- Coffee Hour with Friends: Treat a friend or loved one to a home-brewed coffee date. Simply double the recipe, dividing the foam and coffee between two tall glasses. Top with cinnamon sugar and enjoy!
- Perfect Pairings: Make it a meal and serve this Starbucks cinnamon caramel cream cold brew with sliced fruit, whole wheat donuts, yogurt parfaits, or pancakes!

Recipe Success Tips
- Start with Cold Cream and Milk: Snag these ingredients right from the fridge for the quickest frothing and the lightest and silkiest cold foam.
- Use a Tall Glass: Reach for a glass that can accommodate 12 ounces of coffee plus ice and ΒΌ cup of cold foam!
- Enjoy Immediately: The cold foam can melt into the caramel cinnamon cold brew over time, so enjoy it right after making it. Though you can store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 day, know that the foam will likely dissolve into the drink if you do so.
- Adjust the Sweetness to Your Liking. Add the cinnamon and caramel syrup to the drink in the recommended amounts and either stir or froth in additional syrup to taste.
- Ice Accordingly: For a super strong coffee flavor in your coffee drinks, go lighter on the ice or use coffee ice cubes. For a more diluted flavor, use more ice.
